June 10, 1967 – East Woonsocket, Rhode Island:

Harold Trudel UFO Photographs

On June 10, 1967, Harold Trudel captured a series of photographs that became one of the more notable UFO cases of the era. A Rhode Island resident who claimed repeated UFO encounters, Trudel set out that day hoping to obtain photographic evidence of the mysterious objects he said he had witnessed.

Positioned along West Wrentham Road near East Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Trudel waited with his camera for an opportunity. During the afternoon, he reported seeing a UFO descend from the clouds and hover above nearby power lines. According to Trudel, the craft remained motionless in the sky, allowing him to document the event.

Trudel took seven photographs of the object, which appeared unlike any conventional aircraft. The images showed a disc-shaped craft suspended in the air, becoming some of the most discussed UFO photographs of the 1960s.

The Aftermath

Given the camera technology of the 1960s, Trudel's photographs were considered remarkable for their clarity and detail. The object reportedly remained stationary long enough for him to capture seven images, providing one of the most extensive photographic UFO records of the era.

The photographs quickly became a subject of debate among UFO researchers, skeptics, and believers. Supporters viewed them as compelling evidence of an unexplained aerial object, while critics argued that more conventional explanations could account for the images.

Regardless of interpretation, the Trudel photographs became a notable case in UFO history and helped fuel continued interest in the phenomenon. Decades later, the images remain a topic of discussion and analysis, illustrating the enduring fascination with unidentified objects in the sky.

Harold Trudel's photographs, taken on June 10, 1967, continue to stand as one of the most recognized UFO cases of the 1960s, inspiring ongoing curiosity about the nature and origin of unexplained aerial phenomena.
