May 9th, 2021 – Saskatchewan, Canada:

On May 9, 2021, a report from the cockpit of a commercial flight added another intriguing entry to the growing archive of modern UFO/UAP encounters — this time over the remote skies near Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan.

While cruising at approximately 39,000 feet on a Delta Air Lines flight traveling from Fairbanks, Alaska to Minneapolis, Minnesota, a pilot described witnessing something unusual at altitude — an object that appeared to be well above their aircraft.

According to the report, the pilot observed the object moving laterally from right to left at high altitude. What made the sighting especially compelling was the immediate attempt to verify the situation through standard aviation channels. When the pilot asked air traffic control whether any traffic could explain what was being seen, the response was clear: there was no known aircraft in the area.

In other words — nothing on radar, nothing filed in flight paths, and nothing expected in that portion of the sky.

That absence of conventional traffic left the object officially unidentified.

For UFO researchers, pilot reports like this carry particular weight. Commercial aviators operate in tightly regulated airspace with constant radar monitoring and communication protocols, meaning unexpected aerial anomalies are rare — and taken seriously when reported.

Science writer and UFO researcher Chris Rutkowski described the account as “curious,” noting that reports from trained pilots tend to stand out due to their familiarity with atmospheric and aviation phenomena. At the same time, he cautioned that a conventional explanation could not be ruled out based on available information.

Still, for those who follow UAP cases closely, the incident fits a familiar pattern: a well-trained observer, a high-altitude encounter, and an object that does not immediately match known aircraft behavior — followed by uncertainty rather than resolution.

And like many modern sightings, it remains open-ended. No confirmed identification. No recovered data publicly released. Just a brief moment in the sky that left more questions than answers.
